- Sub: ViewEdit Problems
-
- Dear MacAppers:
-
- I am having a problem with ViewEdit that I will pose to the great horde of you
- out there, assuming, nievely perhaps, that it has not been already.
-
- I have a 'view' source file that contains a subview that is a descendant of the
- TTextGridView class. I have a definition for this type that is works correctly
- with Rez. However, if I use ViewEdit to examine this compiled resource, I see
- the first problem: the subview is not displayed.
-
- Normally this would be OK, since I could edit the other subviews and then save
- the compiled resource, then decompile with Derez. However, something more
- sinister seems to occur. When ViewEdit saves my resource file, it clobbers my
- decendant class in the compiled rsrc code. I know this because when I run the
- program the subview is gone, and when I decompile, it has been mysteriously
- deleted.
-
- Is this a bug? Is there a workaround?
